In Italy, the consumption of ready meals underwent a slight increase from 2014, when the amount of eaten instant meals was 5.5 kilograms per capita, to 2019, when it reached 5.6 kilograms. In line with the forecast, this habit will keep growing and by 2023 around six kilograms of ready meals will be consumed per capita.
