Number of used clothing, textiles and footwear collection points in France 2014-2020
Nowadays, used clothing, home textiles and footwear items are collected through four main types of collection: through containers, donations to non-profit organizations, in-store drop-offs and punctual collections. Between 2014 and 2019, the amount of items collected increased in France, as well as the number of collection points. In 2014, there were 34,650 collection points for used clothing, home textiles and footwear items, compared to 46,066 five years later. In 2020, there were 44,633 collection points for used clothing items in France.
