European insurance market: non-life premiums distribution channels 2018, by country

In 2018, Germany's main non-life insurance distribution channel was agents, accounting for nearly 58 percent of the premiums written. Italy, which along with Germany, is among the biggest insurance markets in Europe, saw over 73 percent of premiums written by agents. Among the observed countries, Finland had the largest share of direct written premiums at 54.3 percent.
