The average weekly time spent by the users on mobile games in India peaked at over four hours in the fourth week of April 2020. However, likely due to the gradual easing of restrictions, the user engagement levels began to decline in the next couple of months. In June 2020, the engagement level, yet after experiencing a decline, was higher than the level before the pandemic.
