According to a survey among more than 10,000 food delivery merchants in China in 2020, around 53.5 percent of respondents said they purchased their containers through offline dealers. About 28.2 percent of respondents said they ordered their takeaway boxes online.

The survey was conducted online and offline. 1,200 merchants from 13 cities participated in the survey by filling out the questionnaires face-to-face, and over 9,000 merchants filled out the questionnaires online.
