More than half of the sample (55.3 percent) of consumers surveyed in the United States in June 2020 reported purchasing cannabidiol (CBD) online on a specific CBD brand website, while around 40 percent reporting making their cannabidiol online purchases on Amazon.

Note that many consumers still report purchasing from Amazon, despite Amazon's restrictions on the sale of CBD products. Some brands use the term "hemp extract" or "hemp oil" to describe their products on Amazon.
