According to a survey between September and November 2019, about 47 percent of hospitals in India claimed to have manual checks and validations to identity eligibility of patients availing the Ayushman Bharat scheme. By contrast, 13 percent of hospitals carried out a validation by insurance companies or third parties to identify patient eligibility for the scheme.
