People's views on the impact of climate change on their life in Japan 2019
According to a survey conducted on the the impact of climate change in Japan in October 2019, around 57 percent of respondents stated that the effects of global warming, like heavy rains and intense heat, had some impact on their life. As one of the measures against climate change, Japan aimed to increase its renewable and nuclear energy share to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Furthermore, the country is one of the leaders in the development of new climate friendly technologies, like hybrid electric vehicles.
