During a study carried out in Canada from July 2020 to June 2021, around 37.4 percent of respondents from Generation Z said they had gone to the movies during the 12 months preceding the survey. Among respondents born before 1946, the share stood at 20 percent. Movie theater attendance in Canada was also lower among women.
