According to a survey on mobile consumption in the Middle East region in 2019, 20 percent of respondents in Saudi Arabia were willing to adopt the 5G technology after getting positive feedback from users. The willingness to switch to 5G in the Middle Eastern countries was more than double that of western countries.

Number of respondents is equally divided between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
Survey question was as follows: "I would switch to a 5G network if I start hearing good things about it".
