According to a survey on mobile consumption in the Middle East region in 2019, 55 percent of respondents in the United Arab Emirates were willing to adopt the 5G technology when available. The willingness to switch to 5G in the Middle Eastern countries was more than double that of western countries.

The survey respondents were between the age of 16 and 45 years old.
Number of respondents is equally divided between Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
Survey question was as follows: "I would switch to a 5G network as soon as it is available".
