During a survey carried out in Costa Rica, Panama and the Dominican Republic, 43 percent of respondents in Costa Rica said that over the next six months, they planned to keep reducing their spending on essential products. In may of 2020, 67 percent of the Costa Ricans respondents claimed to have spent less money on food and beverage.
