While the proportion of French people taking an interest in Black Friday, a day of massive promotions, was relatively low in 2018, public interest in commercial discounts seemed to be more pronounced when it came to purchasing items of clothing, leather goods and jewelry. That year, approximately seven out of ten French people surveyed said they valued discounts when purchasing items in these categories.
