According to the South Korean ministry of small-medium enterprises and startups, one thousand smart factories were planned to be supported through government help in South Korea by 2025. The South Korean government was pushing for innovation in the manufacturing sector by facilitating the integration of new technologies such as 5G and artificial intelligence into smart factories.
