Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry had the highest average weekly viewership for general entertainment (GEC) on television in India in 2018. With over two billion impressions, reports suggest that Tamil GEC was consumed on average for nearly three hours daily. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana ranked second during the measured time period.
