During a 2018/2019 survey, nearly 42 percent of responding students aged eight to 18 in Costa Rica said that their main reason for not using the internet was not having access to this service at home. In addition, approximately 27 percent of the children and teenage students stated not wanting to use the internet, while 25.8 percent declared not knowing how to use it.
