According to a survey conducted in Mexico in April 2020, 64 percent of respondents expressed interest in buying food online during the COVID-19 pandemic. While staples drove the most interest in online shopping during the health crisis in the North American country, their popularity declined once the state of emergency lifted and the situation stabilized. On the other hand, after months of confinement, categories targeting entertainment (such as technology and media and entertainment) or long-term care (such as fashion or personal care) have become more relevant among Mexicans.
