Taking into consideration the exports of Grappa in packaging smaller than two liters, in 2020 Italy exported Grappa for a total of 24.8 thousand hectoliters of anhydrous alcohol. An hectoliter of anhydrous alcohol is called ettanidro, an Italian unit of alcohol measurement which corresponds to 100 litres of pure alcohol, that is “anhydrous". Germany was by far the main importer of Italian Grappa, with a total of 15.3 thousand hectoliters, which accounted for more than half of Italian exports worldwide.
