Number of connectors at electric vehicle charging stations by type in Colombia 2022
As of July 2022, the large majority of electric vehicle charging station connectors in Colombia were TYPE 2, with a total of 135 plugs registered. The second most common type of connector was the TYPE 1 (SAE J1772), with 111 plugs across the South American country. In 2021, there were around 17,700 electric and hybrid vehicles registered in Colombia, which was over double the amount registered a year prior.
