Number of connectors at electric vehicle charging stations by type in Chile 2021
As of October 2021, the large majority of electric vehicle charging station connectors in Chile were TYPE 2, with a total of 382 plugs registered. Second most common type of connector was CHAdeMO, with 51 plugs across the South American country. In 2019, Hyundai was the brand which sold the most electric vehicles in Chile, accounting for 27 percent of the country's electric vehicle wholesale market.
