Number of connectors at electric vehicle charging stations by type in Costa Rica 2022
As of July 2022, the large majority of electric vehicle charging station connectors in Costa Rica were TYPE 1 (SAE J1772), with a total of 197 plugs registered. The second most common type of connector was the NEMA 5-15 (US Plug), with 83 plugs across the Central American country. Additionally, Costa Rica was the region's fourth largest provider of electric vehicle charging stations, recording 267 charging points as of July 2023.
