According to a survey conducted in May 2019 among Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macao respondents, around 85 percent of Hong Kong participants used digital wallets. Respectively, 65 percent Taiwan respondents and 75 percent of Macao respondents said they used at least one digital payment tool.
