A substantial proportion of the French people who were questioned in a study conducted in 2014 said that they purchased decorative items every year. However, when focusing on the main stores where people in France go to make this type of purchase, it appears that the Ikea store was the most visited in 2017. Indeed, that year, 40 percent of the people interviewed said they had visited it at least once, compared to 30 percent for Conforama.
