In 2022, more than 4,000 Syrians were granted a Norwegian citizenship. Poles constituted the second largest group of people who were granted a citizenship of Norway, amounting to 3,700 people. Furthermore, 3,600 people from Eritrea became Norwegian citizens the same year.
