In Morocco, the rural workforce without a degree as of the fourth quarter of 2019 was more than those with a degree, representing 54.4 percent (approximately 2.7 million people) of the whole active population in the rural areas. The number of people with a degree also represented 46.5 percent of rural labor force, which registered a difference of 7.9 percentage points compared to those without a degree.
Overall, the number of degree-holders in Morocco has increased over the last six years, although the rate of unemployment in the country has left most graduates without a career.
