Among the 11,100 work permits that were issued in Norway in 2023, people from India received the highest number of permissions to work. In detail, more than 1,500 Indian citizens were granted work permits that year, closely followed by people of Vietnamese origin who also were granted more than 1,500 work permits. Furthermore, more than 1,200 UK citizens were given permissions to work in Norway that year.
