According to a 2022 survey, 29.5 percent of respondents from the Philippines stated that they preferred to study in the United States if there was a scholarship available. This was followed by European Union member estates which were preferred by 19.3 percent of respondents.

1, 677 respondents from all ten ASEAN member states participated in the 2022 survey, of which 23.9 percent of respondents were from the Philippines. The survey was conducted both online and offline.
