Since the COVID-19 pandemic reached Mexico in March 2020, many Mexicans have had to cancel or put their holiday plans on hold. According to a June 2020 survey, 46 percent of respondents in the North American country said they do not plan to resume traveling nationally until 2021. Meanwhile, 42 percent of those surveyed said they would wait until next year to travel abroad.
