Fresh fish shopping frequency among Italians 2020, by macro-region

The purchase of fresh fish at the supermarket was a popular shopping habit among Italians, a survey from September 2020 revealed. However, a few regional differences were reported. Consumers living in the Islands (Sicily, Sardinia) bought fresh food more often. In fact, 14 percent of them reported to do so more than once a week, while only eight percent of the respondents from the Northern regions did the same.
