Monthly average prices for green pepper in Egypt 2019-2023

In May 2023, the monthly average price for green bell peppers in Egypt amounted to 14.38 Egyptian pounds (0.47 U.S. dollars) per kilogram, which was a decrease of approximately 24.51 percent from May 2023. During the period under review, price fluctuations ranged between five Egyptian pounds (0.16 U.S. dollars) per kilogram as the trough in August 2019, while the peak was at 19.05 Egyptian pounds (0.62 U.S. dollars) per kilogram in April 2023. As bell pepper grows in warmer weather conditions, prices generally drop during the summer months.
