
Predicted impact of COVID-19 on stress/anxiety physician visits, Canada Aug. 2020
Based on data on the Fort McMurray wildfires, it is predicted that the COVID-19 pandemic could increase the number of physician visits for stress/anxiety up to almost 9.7 million during the acute event period, and up to 10.7 million during the post disaster steady state. This statistic shows the projected number of physician visits for stress/anxiety related disorders during and after the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada, for three scenarios, as estimated in August 2020.
