In 2019, around 72 percent of respondents in Japan, who had an experience of buying artworks in the past, stated that it has some positive effects of relaxation, change of mood, and stress relief. By comparison, only about 36 percent of the respondents without any art purchase experience agreed that it has a stress easing effect.
