According to a survey conducted in Mexico between June 2019 and June 2020, 73 percent of LGBT+ people, both those who identify as women and those who identify as men, said they had come out of the closet to a heterosexual friend. Meanwhile, 25 percent of male participants stated to have disclosed their sexual orientation and/or gender identity to heir boss, against 16 percent for LGBT+ women.
