In the period under consideration, crude oil and petroleum movements by pipeline from PADD 2 presented a trend of growth and reached a peak of roughly 1.35 billion barrels in 2019. However, crude oil movements by pipeline from PADD 2 was notably more than the outflow from PADD 1 in the same time period. PADD 2 has the second largest refinery capacity following PADD 3.
