Opinion of the French on whether or not to maintain family reunification 2016-2020
This statistic shows the opinion of the French on whether or not to maintain family reunification between 2016 and 2020. Family reunification is a recognized reason for immigrants in many countries that enables the rest of the divided family or only specific members of the family to immigrate to that country as well, under specific circumstances. Over the years, the proportion of French people defending the maintenance of family reunification had increased: it went from 40 percent in 2016 to 48 percent in 2018, decreasing in 2020. A majority of French people were in favor of its abolition in 2020.
