The rental sector favored by the French when looking for an apartment in 2016 among people aged 18 to 79 was with more than 60 percent accordance, the private sector. Social housing was preffered by around 25 percent of people having looked for accommodation to rent in the previous five years. Having a look private accommodation as well as social housing, only about 13 percent were considering both options in 2016.
