Online shoppers in the United Kingdom saw limited, costly, or complicated delivery and return policies as significant barriers to shopping online. According to data collected in 2019, having to pay delivery fees was seen as a barrier that had the most impact, with 31 percent of consumers saying it prevented them from buying online.
