The overall number of French people eating chilled or frozen ready meals has been slowly decreasing, going from around 12.2 million people in 2014 to 9.1 million people in 2019.
The population seems to have a preference for a varied diet: 35 percent of people like to combine fresh and frozen food products, and 29 percent eat a mix of both with a higher volume of fresh products.
