At the end of February 2020, Mexico detected the first cases of COVID-19 in its territory. Since the pandemic began, the installation of educational apps increased in the North American country. While non-organic installs of education apps reached a peak on the week of March 31 and April 6, most organic installs (7.54 percent) were made from April 21 to 27.

Sample included a total of 6.3 billion organic installs and 3.7 billion non-organic installs. The metric was normalized by dividing the weekly share of installs by the overall number of installs throughout the examined time frame. Therefore the source clarifies that the overall period adds up to 100 percent, with each week representing the share out of the total.
According to the source organic installs are those not attributed to a media source, while non-organic installs (NOI) are attributed to a media source. More information is available here.
