In 2023, the most physically active segment of the population in Mexico was made up of men aged 18 to 24 years old. In this cohort, 69.5 percent of survey participants indicated that they exercised in their free time. By contrast, the most active age group amongst women were those aged between 25 and 34 years. Specifically, 44.5 percent of Mexican women in this age range stated doing sports or physical exercises in their leisure time.
