Satisfaction with one’s national rail infrastructure – including tracks and stations – was below 50 percent globally. Fewer survey participants from the G8 sectors, including Canada, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, Russia, and the United States, considered their country’s rail infrastructure poor; however, satisfaction levels were similarly below 50 percent.

The question survey participants answered was as follows: “Please indicate how
good or poor you rate the current quality of each one in [country].” Participants were asked about aspects such as airports, digital infrastructure, local road networks, wind energy, rail infrastructure, among other things.
