With e-commerce winning an increasingly higher share of the retail market, logistics real estate in Europe's leading markets has enjoyed increasing demand from both investors and occupiers. The take-up in the 10 countries surveyed was 39.5 million square meters, which was the fourth consecutive year of increase and approximately 10 million square meters higher than in 2020. Take-up refers to the amount of space transacted, including let, pre-let, sold, and pre-sold properties, and is an easy way to measure demand.
