Share of mobile internet users APAC 2020, by country and gender
In a survey conducted in 2020, 45 percent of the male respondents aged 18 years and older in India stated that they owned a mobile phone, whereas the share of female respondents in India that owned a mobile phone was lower. Comparatively, for the same survey 19 percent of the female respondents in Bangladesh aged 18 years and older stated that they owned a mobile phone, which was less than half of the male respondents in Bangladesh who owned a mobile phone.
