Share of French people who bought garden furniture recently 2020, by type
The lockdown which was implemented in France in 2020 due to the global COVID-19 outbreak created a favorable context for people to practice their hobbies. From March to May 2020, gardening was one of the most mentioned occupation on social media. During the three months prior to July 2020, 67 percent of regular and occasional gardeners in France bought plants. Moreover, almost half of them (44 percent) bought seeds.
