Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, several trade fairs, exhibitions, and congresses worldwide have been canceled or rescheduled in 2020, as governments implemented lockdowns and closures to contain the spread of the virus. As a result, revenues of the trade fair, congress, and event organizer Fiera Milano Group fell sharply in 2020 over the previous year. Overall, the group's revenues amounted to 74 million euros in 2020, whereas they added up to 280 million euros in 2019. Founded in 1920, Fiera Milano Group is the Italian market leader in the organization of exhibitions, trade fairs, events, and congresses.
