While the fight against insurance fraud was already an important subject before the digital era, it is a field that has been enriched with new methods and tools as the digital transformation has taken place. The players in the French healthcare ecosystem are now engaged in transformations of this type, and seem to be aware of the fundamental importance of data in the French healthcare system. Focusing on the type of health data collected, it appears that in 2017, 71 percent of the respondents were using personal data, compared to 39 percent who said they were using external ones.
