The average spending per night of domestic tourists in Malta was higher in 2021 compared to the previous year. In 2021, the average per night expenditure was 32 percent higher than in 2020. In 2020, expenditure per night of domestic tourists amounted to 56 euros, decreasing over the previous year most likely as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
