In the first four months of 2020, the natural gas consumption in Brazil saw a continuous decline, reaching 41 million cubic meters per day in April. In comparison to January that year, this represents a decrease of nearly 50 percent. The industrial and automotive sectors reported the largest drops in consumption in the period, while consumption in the residential sector increased in every month, when compared to 2019.
