The number of nights spent by international travelers in Malta increased remarkably in 2023 over the previous year. Overall, visitors from the United Kingdom spent the highest number of nights in the country over the period considered. In 2023, overnight stays by British travelers totaled around 3.6 million, rising from three million in 2022 but remaining below the figure from 2019, the year before the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
