In 2019, the majority of the respondents to a survey indicated to start using electric scooters out of curiosity (53 percent) and to save time compared other means of transportation (51 percent). Almost half of the respondents mentioned that they started using the e-scooters because it is fun.
According to another survey held in Brussels, approximately 60 percent of the people said to use kick scooter sharing instead of going by foot, whereas roughly 16 percent used it as a replacement for public transport.
